About
Lex Ryan
In 2009 I moved to Madrid and purchased my first camera to tell the visual story of my travels. I spent time with other artists and soon was shooting all kinds of performances - poetry readings, small concerts, drag shows. I loved learning to capture special moments, a particular expression on someone’s face that will never exist in that exact way again.
I developed my skills further at USC where I got my MFA in Film & TV Production with an emphasis in cinematography. Since then I’ve shot for Warner Music Group, GLAAD, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, NYU-LA, Young Entertainment Activists, the Hollywood Climate Summit, the Italian American Museum of LA, and countless speakers and performers across mediums.
The consistent feedback I receive from clients is that I make them feel at ease in front of my camera and I take stellar photos that they use for years. The joy that I provide my clients is totally reciprocal. It is a privilege to have a job in which I get to use my passion for visual media to meet incredible people and tell the story of a moment in their lives.
